Endangered Species (Poison Dart Frog)
1.The poison dart frog is a colorful frog and known for their very potent poison that covers thier skin. This frog is one of many animals that has become endangered by different causes of their environment. One of the factors that contributed to their endangerment is loss of habitat. We humans have disturbed their habitat by logging and deforestation of their rainforest. Another.Another factor that caused these frogs to be become extinct is pollution.Chemicals used for farming affects the growth of their young and also harms their reproduction.Pesticides also get into the water that damage the eggs the parent poison dart frogs lay.Acid rain hurts the immune system of these frogs leaving them vulnerable to disease and infections.
¨According to National Geographic¨2.The only predator of the poison dart the Red-bellied snake that has become immune to their poison. The exact number of poison darts frogs left is difficult due to isolation of islands and habitats they live on.The exact number of Poison dart frogs is unknown.Poison dart frogs live in tropical rain forest of South and Central America in Bolivia, Costa Rica, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Surinam, French Guiana, Peru, Panama, Guyana, Nicaragua, and introduced in Hawaii. Its relatively warm and humid in their habitat. The poison darts frogs niche is eating ants, termites, and small spiders.

According to John Dyers Article of Adaptations 3.One of many adaptations of the Poison Dart Frog is its various colors throughout its species. This adaptation warns predators that it's a toxic meal and to avoid it.This adaptation lead to its evolution and is useful to its survival. Its poison is also another adaption that is very powerful and can kill 10 grown humans the poisons differs from frogs from different areas.Since these adaptations have worked very well for this frog it has helped it evolve into one of many poisonous land animals. |
4.Human activities that affected the species is deforestation.Pollution of the frogs environment and pesticides affecting their young.Logging that leaves them homeless and vulnerable to predators.Deforestation causes isolation that leaves the frogs in dangerous restricted places endangering them. These are the main things we humans do to impact the species.

5.My management plan to help save the species is to donate a dollar and for every dollar it will plant a new tree. Also to stop the use of pesticides to protect the frogs health and reproduction from farming.Basically stop everything that causes harm to their habitat in order for them to reproduce without harm from human causes.Save the frogs and help bring them their true colors!.
